Winter Vegetable Beef Stew

Okay, I know I say this on pretty much every post, but this really is one of the easiest recipes ever. Just dump a few ingredients in a crock pot and let it cook. Dinner is served. The best part about this recipe is that you can turn on the crock pot before work in the morning and it will be ready as soon as you get home. (more…)

Marinated Eggplant

I used to really hate eggplant, simply because I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to cook it. I followed recipe after recipe and still it would come out hard and chewy…the furthest thing from appetizing. I have, however, finally figured out how to make eggplant the mouthwatering thing that it is: marinate it. Savory Bread Pudding

Wait, what? I know, that’s what I said when I first came across a recipe for savory bread pudding. I’ve made many bread puddings in my life, usually when I burn a batch of bread or it’s going bad and I know I won’t eat it in time. But I’ve always made sweet bread pudding, usually loaded with vanilla bourbon sauce and pounds of sugar. (more…)
