Colourpop “Foxy” Minis Mania

I’ll be honest. I only wanted this kit of liquid lipsticks because of the name. My dog’s name is Foxy, if you didn’t know. That being said, I like the products, too, so that’s nice! Click for swatches & a little {unwanted} opinion~

Why Lippie Stix are My New Go-to!

Lately, beauty fanatics obsess over liquid lipsticks– Anastasia Beverly Hills, Jeffree Star, Kat Von D, Colourpop and most recently, the Kylie Jenner lip kit. One underlying problem that liquid lipsticks ultimately share is the dry, flakey sensation they often leave. While I’ve been on the liquid lip band wagon and haven’t yet hopped off, I tried something new from Colourpop and I’m lovin’ it! All aboard the lippie stix train!

Kylie Lip Kit Kraze. And dupes!

Two days after it’s first post, the @LipKitByKylie Instagram rounded up a whopping 485 K followers. Each follower eagerly awaiting the link to her three new “lip kits” composed of a liquid lipstick and lipliner. And when the link was announced? Everything sold out in one minute!

cosmetics in your makeup stash, you need some! Now, I shied away from the products, because I assumed they’d be pricey. I added the brand to my mental “want list” and was done with it, until my best friend bought a few liquid lipsticks, eyeshadows and highlighters that I, of course, had to try.

“Beeper” Liquid Lipstick ($6)

I fell in love with this warm brown toned liquid lipstick. The color is light enough that it didn’t overpower the rest of my makeup, but still made for a bold lip.

The packaging is attractive and sturdy, the wand made for easy application and it was long lasting. It did have the same dry feeling that you get with liquid lipsticks, but it didn’t flake off, which is a definite plus. This is a fall must-have that I promise you’ll want to invest in! For $6, I may even buy two 😉

In the second picture, it kind of rubbed off a bit in the center, but I liked the sort of ombre look it gave my lips!

Face Products ($8)

The highlighters and bronzers feel like the softest sand and they are very easy to blend. Also great packaging at a phenomenal price.

“Where the Light Is” Eyeshadow Collection by Kathleen Lights ($20)

Although I didn’t wear any of the shadows, I did swatches that showed the very soft texture. These strong pigmented shadows do not seem like the type that will fall onto your face. ColourPop also has a wide range of colors that I’m dying to try.

Above is the eyeshadow collaboration between ColourPop and beauty blogger, Kathleen Lights. These shadows will give your eyes a golden glow.

“Sundays in Silverlake” Lippie Stix Collection ($30)

I used this picture as an example of the cute, but simple packaging. These lipsticks glide on smooth and keep lips moisturized.     Screen Shot 2015-09-08 at 12.56.46 PMScreen Shot 2015-09-08 at 12.57.32 PM

“Grunge” Lippie Pencil and Stick ($5 each)

And I’ve fallen in love again as ColourPop provides a matching lip pencil for the lippie sticks. Amazing! This cool-toned plum brown is part of their 90s collection. Also very trendy for the fall!
