Wet N’ Wild $3 Matte Lipstick Worth the Buzz?

For $2.99, you can invest in some fitting fall shades… But you’re gonna need to work for it.

Currently these hot items are sold out, except for the pink “Tulip To Quit” shade. While they are worth the wait and the money– here’s my tips to a successful application process.

The formulas are that of your typical dark, liquid lipsticks. Not moisturizing and somewhat hard to work with.

What I’m saying is: give yourself a fair amount of extra time to apply these bad boys. Meaning, don’t skimp on the things that you’re supposed to do.

1.) Exfoliate your lips.

I like to use a bit of coconut oil (what else?) and sugar to exfoliate. Gently rubbing the surface of my lips.

2.) Moisturize your lips.

This will help the formula glide on easier… Don’t overdue it. A thin layer will do!

3.) Line your lips!

So important, especially for the dark shades. Use your favorite lip liner, something your familiar with.

4.) Next, apply.

Focus on the center of your lips and work your way out. I suggest using a minimal amount of the lipstick and slowly building it up if need be.

5.) Correct.

If you’re like me, you’ll need to correct some imperfections with a thin brush and small amount of concealer. Carefully brushing powder along the sides, helps too!

So there you have it. I’m not in love with them just yet, but I’ll keep trying.

What do you think of them?!

Until next week,
