$6 Liquid Lipsticks that are Worth Every Penny

Hello, everyone! I hope your Easter weekend was enjoyable and filled with lots of Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. *Drools at 8 a.m. over candy* I recently purchased the Hard Candy “Velvet Mousse” Liquid Lipstick and I recommend you run out and buy it now, now, now! Here’s why.

If you’re unfamiliar with Hard Candy Makeup, it’s a brand sold at Walmart ranging from $5 to $12 dollars (rough estimate) that may just change your life. I hate when people overhype products, i.e.: “You NEED this Product,” but in this case, you really do.

These little babies are pigmented, easy to apply, the formula is smooth, the packaging is cute and they smell great! _MG_1955_MG_1959_MG_1957I’ve imagined that these lip creams are the closest I’ll get to the Kylie Jenner Lip kit! They have a subtle sweet smell of cupcakes, like hers is rumored to have. They glide on creamy and dry matte. How do they differ from most liquid lipsticks? The formula doesn’t dry your lips out or crack overtime, it just slowly fades after about six hours! The lipstick has lasted through my shifts at work and through a meal.

Daffodil is a great everyday nude and Tulip is a classic red that isn’t overly bright. There are seven shades altogether ranging in pink, purpley mauve and deep maroon tones. I would invest in these two because they’re great staple colors.

Next time you’re at Walmart, pick up a shade and tell me what you think! (It’s well worth the trip.)

Until next Tuesday, Ashleysita.
